About Course

This course’s objective is not to make every student into a scientist, but rather to help them all gain two skills: scientific literacy and positive attitudes toward using science to learn new things.

Students will be expected to comprehend how to carry out scientific investigations, how to explain the results of such investigations to others, and how to use their understanding of scientific concepts and principles to reason about science and resolve problems in practical situations.

Effective transformation in the context of teaching and learning is necessary for science education to achieve its goals.

This can only be done by giving students the freedom to research the history of science and its uses, as well as to develop an understanding of the connections between science, technology, society, and the environment.

What Will You Learn?

  • The focus of Grade 7 Science is to introduce students to a balance of life science, physical science, and Earth and space science. The concepts and terminology associated with Grade 7 Science will be delivered through the contexts of Interactions within Ecosystems, Mixtures and Solutions, Heat, and Earth's Crust.

Course Content

Chapter 01 – Human Organ Systems
A system is an organization of varying numbers and kinds of organs so arranged that together they can perform complex functions for the body. Ten major systems include the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems.

  • Digestive System
    04:07
  • Disorder of Digestion
    04:52
  • Respiratory System
    02:24
  • Common Diseases of Respiratory System
    01:36
  • QUIZ – Human Organ System

Chapter 02 – Transport System in Humans and Plants
The food has to be transported to all parts of the plant. This is done by the vascular tissue called the phloem. Thus, xylem and phloem transport substances in plants. In most animals, the blood that circulates in the body distributes food and oxygen to different cells of the body.

Chapter 03 – Reproduction in Plants
Plant reproduction is the production of new offspring in plants, which can be accomplished by sexual or asexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction produces offspring by the fusion of gametes, resulting in offspring genetically different from either parent.

Chapter 04 – Environment and Feeding Relationships
Energy Flow in Ecosystems. In every ecosystem, organisms are linked through feeding relationships. These feeding relationships are represented by food chains and food webs.

Chapter 05 – Water
Water is the liquid that makes life on Earth possible. All living things, from tiny cyanobacteria to giant blue whales, need water to survive.

Chapter 06 – Structure of Atom
Atoms consist of an extremely small, positively charged nucleus surrounded by a cloud of negatively charged electrons.

Chapter 07 – Physical and Chemical Changes

Chapter 08 – Transmission of Heat
Heat transfer is a discipline of thermal engineering that concerns the generation, use, conversion, and exchange of thermal energy between physical systems.

Chapter 09 – Dispersion of Light
When white light is passed through a glass prism it splits into its spectrum of colours (in order violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red) and this process of white light splitting into its constituent colours is termed as dispersion.

Chapter 10 – Sound Waves
A sound wave is a pattern of disturbance caused by the movement of energy travelling through a medium (such as air, water or any other liquid or solid matter) as it propagates away from the source of the sound.

Chapter 11 – Circuits and Electric Current
To introduce children to the fundamentals of electric circuits and make them capable of troubleshooting simple electrical circuits.

Chapter 12 – Investigating the Space
Space exploration, investigation, using crewed and uncrewed spacecraft, of the reaches of the universe beyond Earth’s atmosphere and the use of the information so gained to increase knowledge of the cosmos and benefit humanity.
